OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER

MDW26

For Milan Design Week 2026, 6:AM presents OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER, an exhibition project hosted in the historic Piscina Romano, inaugurated in 1929, designed by engineer-architect Luigi Lorenzo Secchi.

Set within an exceptional architectural landscape among the buildings of Gio Ponti and Vittoriano Viganò, the complex was conceived as part of a broader vision for accessible, neighborhood-scale public sports infrastructure. An iconic space becomes the setting for an immersive installation: 6:AM elements—featuring both new and past collections—are placed throughout the venue, creating a continuous dialogue between space, glass, and architecture.

The project stems from a reflection on repetition as a generative principle: in craftsmanship, as in daily life, many creations take form through repeated gestures, trials, errors, and small variations.

Elements and modules of the products are thus multiplied until they become architecture: lamps transforming into luminous sequences, glass modules building walls, objects evolving from single elements into space.

Alongside the existing collections, the exhibition brings together a series of objects presented for the first time, including Batch, the blown glass cubes originally created for the set design of the Bottega Veneta Summer 2026 runway show and a new limited-edition version of the Paysage and Lina collections developed with Hannes Peer.

UNINVITED is an AI-generated video project by the creative studio Genera presenting 6:AM objects as surreal presences inhabiting Piscina Romano. An immersive preview of the Over and Over and Over and Over exhibition, inspired by the raw immediacy of urban exploration and accidental discovery.

A further collaboration is the site-specific sound installation Triton, a cross-media project by Invernomuto (Simone Bertuzzi and Simone Trabucchi). The work translates data from a living ecosystem of small amphibians in Pietra Perduca, in Northern Italy, into sound, generating a constantly evolving composition. In the 6:AM exhibition, it becomes an immersive sound environment connecting Piscina Romano with the salamanders inhabiting ancient stone basins, suggesting an alternative way of listening to non-human worlds.

BAR PIENO

Bar Pieno is a temporary bar active for the entire duration of OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER within the Piscina Romano park. The space, reactivated for Design Week is an extension of the exhibition. Developed in collaboration with Vicino Wine Club, the project transforms the kiosk into an informal meeting point where design, food, and people come together. As a place where the international community around 6:AM can gather every day during Milan Design Week, from breakfast through to a long aperitivo.

Each evening, it hosted a rotating program of chefs from across Italy, editorial projects, and musicians, invited to contribute a direct and informal expression of their work.

Rather than a series of scheduled events, the program unfolds as an open format: a continuous flow of encounters, performances, and shared experiences.
