Fiosa is a striking fusion of artisanal tradition and contemporary design, conceived by Bradley L. Bowers for the GenD project by Dolce & Gabbana Casa, and unveiled during Milan Design Week 2023. Produced by 6:AM, this site-specific installation is a celebration of Italian craftsmanship and international creativity, curated by Federica Sala.
The piece brings together the refined techniques of Venetian glass artisans and the innovation of parametric design. Its structure is composed of a steel frame filled with custom cast-glass tiles, each formed in a unique mold. At the heart of the piece lies a delicate, floral composition, carefully integrated into the overall geometry, emphasizing the interplay between organic and engineered forms.
Fiosa stands as a testament to the potential of design to merge traditional techniques with modern technologies, reflecting the GenD project’s aim to redefine contemporary interior aesthetics.
