Materials: Thermofused recycled float glass

As part of the exhibition ITALY: A New Collective Landscape at the ADI Design Museum in Milan, 6:AM unveiled a new coffee table created entirely from recycled glass. A debut piece from their ongoing sustainability-focused initiative, Refloat. Curated by Angela Rui, the exhibition highlights innovative responses by emerging designers to global design challenges.

The coffee table is composed of three distinct elements, each crafted using glass recovered from construction sites and recycling facilities. Through a process of glass fusing, texturing, and pigmentation, discarded material is transformed into a high-quality design object. The piece marks the first chapter of Refloat, a long-term project that explores circular design solutions in contemporary glassmaking.

With Refloat, 6:AM Glassworks signals a clear commitment to sustainable design practices, rethinking waste as a valuable resource and pushing the boundaries of material experimentation in glass.
